Why Go Local?

Buying local always sounds better,we all feel good deep down after we did it. ....Purchasing a guide is the same .
Transient guides come and go.  Wyoming is a bit of a different story.  In Wyo, we only have around a half million people.  Work can be tough to come by here in Wyoming...it is either feast or famine here.  Support the local guy.  He lives, breathes, sleeps....and DEPENDS on the local landscape to pay his bills.  Fly Fishing has a limited window in Wyoming to be successful due to weather.  We work hard, play hard and deliver that experience to you.

I'm not going to go much further.. but we all know buying local is a better.  Thank you and please, hire a local guide - not a ski-bum with a boat and box of flies.

NOTE: JACKSON HOLE based guide services/outfitters are NOT local, Green River guides, no matter what they say...so don't drink the fruity punch of Teton County.

Ryan Hudson - "RyHud"
President/Head Guide - at the Wyoming Fishing Company

Ryan has guided drift boat fly fishing trips since 2004 across Wyoming and several other western states since then.  He graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BS in Political Science in 2011.  While in college he guided the North Platte from Saratoga - Casper and back to Pinedale/Fontenelle in the summer.  In 2013, RyHud spent 6 weeks in Mongolia fishing/guiding for the famous Hucho Taimen, and is going back for an additional 8 weeks in 2016, fishing rodent flies.. days on end for the world's oldest and largest trout.  Fishing has been a lifetime passion which brought him to Wyoming.  He began tying flies commercially at the age of 13 and shortly there after, left the state for bigger, better fishing.  In the winter, Ryan runs snowmachine trips with Green River & Bridger Teton Outfitters LLC in the southern Gros Ventre, Wyoming and Wind River Mountain Ranges, both on trail and boondocking in the powder.

Kevin Kunard
Kunard or "Nardo" is as local as it gets.  Born and raised here in Sublette County, Nardo is a favorite around these parts.  He has a lifetime of experience in our mountains and on our rivers.  Licensed pilot, fly fisher and big game hunter, here at the WFC, we love Nardo and are privileged to have him a part of our team...and yes, Nardo knows how to catch big fish.

Jeramie Prine - Owner/Operator of Dunoir Fishing Adventures
"J Prine" is our man on the Big Horn River in Thermopolis and helps us out below Fontenelle Dam quite a bit.  All fishing trips on the "Horn" are done through Dunoir Fishing Adventures.  Jeramie is one of the few guides in the industry with ZERO ego.  The guy is nothing short of great and practically family to the WFC

Scott Nechay - Fishing guide/Private Chef
"Chef Scott" is partially responsible for the formation of the WFC.  Not only can he stick toads with a 5wt and dry flies, but he will make Gordon Ramsey want to go back to school.  Chef Scott's creative imagination will keep your culinary appetite satisfied and the laughter consistent all day in the boat.  This guy seriously cracks us up and keeps the party alive.  Check out his private Fly Fishing/Chef Packages.
